Tokyo Kitchen @ Setiawalk Puchong

We were at SetiaWalk Mall last 2 weeks ago and look for Bad Boy Cooks.. but sadly... It's closed down...

So we decided to walk around and found out that there's quite a lot restaurant than we expected.. café, pub and bistro beside the waterway / fountain. Finally we decided to try Tokyo Kitchen since both of us were craving for Japanese Cuisine. =)

Relax, windy day while waking along the waterway.

Tokyo Kitchen, traditional yet trendy decoration.

You can request a small piece of wood made card and write your wish and hang it.

Cozy ambiance inside restaurant.

Menu

We ordered set meal for both of ourselves. Kenny side order his favorite grilled squid and Salmon Fish Head for me. We didn't order drinks as the set meal already includes green tea.

Chicken Teriyaki Wazen (RM 20.90). Sautéed teriyaki chicken served with Japanese rice, bean paste soup, chawanmushi & oranges.

Kenny thumbed up for their sauteed teriyaki chicken as the teriyaki sauce was cooked with onion, it's flavorful and decent.

Chicken Salad & Sashimi Gozen (RM 25.90). Teriyaki chicken, fresh vege and salmon sashimi served with Japanese rice, bean paste soup, chawanmushi & orange slices.

Teriyaki chicken slices was sleeping on fresh vege salad bed and topped with some sesame. Chicken slices was tender but I didn't taste any Teriyaki flavour.

Chawanmushi was very soft. Inside this steamed egg has Ginkgo seed, mushroom, chicken slice and topped with Japanese fish cake.

Surume Ika Teriyaki (RM25.90). Grilled squid with teriyaki sauce. Squid was tender and fresh fresh. Most importantly, it's not rubbery or hard to chew at all.

Salmon Kabuto Teriyaki (RM22.90). Salmon head with Teriyaki sauce. Salmon head was fresh and well grilled, but it's too small.

Wasabi available prior request.

Overall, the food was fresh and taste average. Ambiance was quite cozy and mixture of traditional and modern Japanese design. Oh yea, now they were having promotion of 20% on the bill except beverages!
