Low Maji Steamboat @ Bandar Puteri Puchong (老妈子冬瓜火锅)

I have been Lao Ma Zi Steamboat Restaurant few years back, located at Puchong Perdana, the shop row beside LDP Highway. I remember they were serving common 2 side soup base steamboat only ( Ma La Soup & Herbal Soup). Recently something new added on their menu! Winter Melon Steamboat!

Winter Melon Mountain Winter Melon Sea... The shop was flooded with Winter Melon!

Welcomed the Winter Melon Steamboat with excitement. The winter melon was placing in the middle of pot which filled up with clear soup.

Da Lang! Inside winter melon, the soup was added with wolfberry, scallion and ginger.

Winter Melon Set ( RM 39). We added on 1 plate pork belly (RM 4.90) and crystal meehon (RM1.50). 

Wide varieties of sauces, garlic, onion, crushed peanuts, preserved vege etc. Mix on your own.

Roughly mixed. Taste not bad. LOL

You can put your food inside or outside the winter melon. We do request them to add soup frequently because we have to keep on spoon the soup into the melon and boiled. The soup was clear, sweet and refreshing, thumb up when eating with the winter melon flesh!

In the end. We request a knife and cut the winter melon flesh to cook in the soup. MUCH LOVE.

Winter Melon Tea (RM 2.50). It might seems ordinary, but when my first sip on it, I am on heaven...! Naturally sweeten, cold, refreshing winter melon tea with some smashed winter melon flesh. Nice!













I would say Lou Ma Zi is a heaven for winter melon fans! It's much more healthier compare to normal steamboat. Price considered as slighly expensive as the food portion was too little and you have to add on some meat, vege and side to fill up stomach, It would be costly if you are big eater or meat lover.
