Yeast Bistronomy @ Mid Valley after MILO Run 2015

Did u guys go for Milo Run 2015 yesterday?

It's fun and my tummy were fulfilled with Milo yesterday =D

Back to the main topic.. lol... We went for breakie after our 7km run to reward ourselves haha... Yeast Bistronomy was recently opened it's branch at Mid Valley Megamall..! Last time when we were at Bangsar, Yeast was always packed and have to wait for your turn, now everything has fixed!

We choose open air seat to have some breeze instead of air-cond. The staff was friendly and recommended us the type of food we prefer. They don't have serve big breakfast as a French Boulangerie. Thus, to replenish some protein after our run, I ordered a Egg Benedict with Turkey Ham on Toast, while Kenny ordered Tuna Mayo Croissant Set.

They are selling pastries and desserts here too by displaying them in the shelves! While waiting for our food to arrive, we ordered a White Button Mushroom Pie as our starter! =D

Pastries

 Desserts

White Button Mushroom Pie (RM 13)

The pie was so yum! It's fluffy inside yet crispy outside. The pastry crust itself was buttery fragrant and melted in our mouth! The white button mushroom was fresh and chewy, the sauce was compressive, taste exactly alike mushroom soup. Two thumbs up!

Breakie was served!

Egg Benedict w Turkey Ham on Toast (RM 22)

Tuna Mayo Croissant Set (RM 17)

Egg Benedict with Turkey Ham on Toast, 2 Soft Poached Eggs on Brioche Toast with Turkey Ham, Bearnaise Sauce and Greens. This egg Benedict was the best among all other cafe i had tried so far. When I cut the egg white, it's tender and smooth, without any sour taste or grainy texture. (Some cafe add a little vinegar into the poarching water so the vinegar helps the protein in the egg whites firm even faster prevent the whites dispersing in water. But this will affect the taste.)

The Bearnaise Sauce played an important role to highlight this dish. Bearnaise sauce is made of clarified butter emulsified in egg yorks and white wine vinegar and flavoured with herbs. Yeast has beautifully made this sauce to perfection.

The toast and turkey ham goes well with the sauce and poached eggs. The Greens was seasoned with olive oil and balsamic vinegar.

Tuna Mayo Croissant Set is serving with French Fries and Greens. The Croissant itself was fluffy, buttery fragrant and soft. Tuna Mayonnaise was good and fresh.

Overall, we were satisfied with the food, service was good, staffs were attentive and paid attention to what we need.

Looking forward for next visit to explore more delicious food at Yeast!

Update on my 2nd visit to YEAST on this Sunday. We opted for indoor seat today as the weather was really hot..!

Our starter. Chausson au Canard Fume et Gruyere (RM17). Smoked duck & Gruyere cheese puff. There's generous amount of smoked duck slices inside the crusty yet fluffy buttery fragrant pastry crust. Smoked duck slices was a little bit salty and just-nice smokey taste, goes well with the creamy Gruyere Cheese.

Brandade de Poisson du Jour, Cebettes, et Piment de Cayanne (RM25). Lightly Salted Fish Bits mixed with Mashed Potatoes, Bread Crumb & Cheese Crust served with Toasted Bread.

It's serving in the little cute pot, and chewy fragrant buttery herbs toasted bread at the side. This dishes is a kind of pie which potatoes mashed with milk and cream, mixed with cod and browned in the oven. The cream under the cheese topping was very fine and smooth, the herbs and spices taste was mild. You can taste the very fine fish bits and bread crumb in the cream, flavourful, rich and satisfactory at one bite.

Quiche Lorraine (RM27). Smoked duck & Gruyere Cheese Quinche served with French Fries and Green Salad. A French savoury open pie, delicious thin crust filling with savoury egg custard, smoked duck dices, cheese and herbs. It's smooth and every ingredients mixed and goes well together in one bite. A fulfilling dish I have to say. Thumb up and it's a MUST ORDER for Quiche lover.

My BLUE face before Monday Blue tomorrow, Bye to weekend. Sob sob...
