華仔三合一招牌炸年糕 Restoran Wah Cai 3 In 1 Chinese Cake @ Taman Tun Aminah, Johor Bahru

Today is Christmas! So exciting because we gonna pay Universal Studio Singapore a visit today.

We had our complimentary breakfast from Baguss Hotel before departure! Basic and simple buffet breakfast. Let the picture do the talking!

 Fried Rice

Fried Meehon

Nuggets, Spring roll and Sausage

 Bread and jams corner

 Plain porridge and toppings corner

My plate of breakfast.

  • Fried Rice : Lack of flavor.

  • Fried Meehon : Too dry. Tasteless.

  • Nugget, spring roll & sausage : Taste normal. Prefer spring roll which was crispy.

  • Porridge : Best among above choices. Porridge was smooth, taste great with toppings.

After breakfast, time to depart to Universal Studio Singapore! But...... Before we depart to USS, we went to 華仔三合一招牌炸年糕 / Restaurant Wah Cai @ Taman Tun Aminah, Johor Bahru.

華仔三合一招牌炸年糕 / Restaurant Wah Cai is selling fried food by a couple. Uncle is responsible to fry food while aunty is responsible to take order and tapao. Famous with their fried chinese cake, fried durian and cempedak fritters.

Prepare for the queue, but no worries! It's moving fast.

Finally my turn! Bought some Fried 3 in 1 Chinese Cake, Fried Banana, Durian, Cempedak & Curry Puffs! Greedy me. LOL...

 Fried Banana (RM 1.20 each)

Fried 3 in 1 Chinese Cake (RM 2 each), Fried Cempedak / Durian (RM 3 each), Curry Puff (RM 2 each)

WEEEEEEE..... Sinfully delicious fried durian, pipping hot durian fritters! ♥♥

Fried 3 in 1 Chinese Cake

DA LANG! Each slim slice of yellow sweet potato and yam hamburgering MELTING chinese cake! ♥♥

Personally thought of their fried food :

  • Fried Durian (RM 3) : Most OMPHH among all fried food. It's the most delicious fried durian I eaten so far. Despite of it's crispy batter, generous melted pipping hot durian fritter was so fragrant and delicious. They made it in banana shape which I much more prefer than others stall, you can taste those melted delicious durian fritters in a bite without clumsy.

  •  Fried Cempedak (RM 3) : Not much different with fried durian in terms of texture, cempedak fritters was sweet!

  • Fried Banana (RM 1.20) : Sweet fresh banana covering by crispy batter. Banana they used was not soft type, you can still see it's original shape. Not a WAO but it's delicious.

  • Fried 3 in 1 Chinese Cake (RM 2) : This is a must try despite durian. Thick slice of MELTED chinese rice cake which was pipping hot, chewy and not too excessive sweetness. Perfect matched with yam and sweet potato. It could be better if thicker cut of each slice of sweet potato and yam.

  • Curry Puff  (RM 2) : Crispy outer layer with generous fillings (curry potatoes & chicken).

Note that all of their fried food is best eaten within 4 to 5 hours after purchased. Or else it's batter will turning into soft / crumble and not kidding, it doesn't taste nice anymore.

Premium price charged but it's still acceptable since we bought it once in a blue moon as tourist.
