Banh Mi Cafe @ Bandar Puteri Puchong

 HAPPY NEW YEAR 2016 EVERYONE!

Wishing you and your love one have a happy, healthy and prosperous year ahead! =D  How you guys spent your Christmas and New Year celebration? I will update my Singapore trip during Christmas after this post okay.

First Saturday in 2016, Kenny and I had our dinner at Banh Mi Cafe, located at Bandar Puteri Puchong.

Banh Mi Cafe is a Vietnamese restaurant which delivering authentic Vietnam cuisine and fresh baked Vietnamese baguette, by charging reasonable price.

Comfy, casual and authentic Vietnam indoor decoration.

Little tree accompany by a bicycle, baguettes and a local Vietnamese hat in the middle of the shop.

 Baguette corner.

Da Lang! The process of making delicious Banh Mi. =D

We prefer windy and fresh air, thus we opted for outdoor seat.

 View from outdoor.

Time to write our order! We were starved!

We decided to order their signature Grill Pork Banh Mi and Spring Roll as starter, BBQ Squid with white rice and Pork Chop Rice as main dishes, while we decided to try their Vietnamese Herbal Tea and Ice Tea as our beverage.

Food was delivered within reasonable waiting time.

Banh Mi Thit Heo Nuong. Banh Mi with Grill Pork (RM 7.50). Banh Mi, known as Vietnamese sandwich, fresh baked hand made baguette fillings with cucumber slices, carrot, Vietnam ham, grilled pork, cilantro and homemade tomato sauce.

It was served by cutting into 4 pieces. Considerate enough. Easy to share and eat.

We were amazed by it's freshly baked crispy baguette which spreading with sososo fragrance butter! Fillings was taste refreshing and we love it together with their homemade tomato sauce. A definitely must order!

Goi Cuong. Vietnam Spring Roll (RM4.50).

Vege, rice vermicelli and pork slices wrapped with banh trang (rice paper). Served at room temperature and are not deep fried.

Spring roll here was well wrapped, fresh and taste great eaten with the sauce given. Thumb up.

Muc Nuong Sa Te. Grilled squid (RM 13). Kenny's all time favourite. Fresh BBQ thick sotong. Taste good but a bit pricey for it's portion given ( 4 small slices).

Coming with green color sauce which taste odd to us.

Com Tam. Pork Chop Rice. (RM 9). Coming with bowl of vege minced pork soup. Typical Vietnamese rice dish. Rice topped with chopped chives side with a marinated grilled pork chop, omelet and pickles.

Pork chop was well marinated and tender, although it's thin slice. Omelet was filling with rice vermicelli and other vege while vege pickles was sweet. I would say the scene of flavour was heavy for this dish.

Tra Da. Vietnamese Iced Tea. (RM 1.50). To be frank, it taste odd to both of us. But no harm to give a try.

Hot E Mu Gon. Vietnamese Herbal Drink. (RM 4.50). When I first sipped, I was feeling EEEWWWW because it taste like nail polish. But after few sipped when ice melted, it was okay.

Menu

 Rice set and Ala Carte

Overall, we were satisfy with our food especially Banh Mi and Spring Roll. The price charged is very reasonable with quality. Would definitely coming back for more.

We noted that seats were fully occupied around 8.30pm. Be early to avoid the queue. ;)

UPDATE MY LATEST VISIT ON 23RD JAN'15

Thit Nuong Cha Gio. Vermicelli Bowl with Grill Pork and Fried Spring Roll (RM 8).

A bowl of Vietnamese thick vermicelli topped with grill pork and spring roll, roasted crunch peanut and herbs. A bowl of Vietnamese chilli fish sauce given, which let you mixing with vermicelli, taste refreshing.

Personally I love the grilled pork very much (kind of grilled pork ball in long shape) which is flavorful and juicy!

A must order! Vietnamese Spring Roll (RM 4)

 Another must order Banh Mi!

Banh Mi Thit Hun Khoi. Bacon Banh Mi. (RM 8). A perfect match of salted semi fat bacon with banh mi!

Grilled Chicken Banh Mi!

Cut chien (RM 9). Grilled Spring Chicken I guess. It's so small and thin compared to the menu picture.

Ice Lime Tea (RM 2.80). Taste alright. Quite refreshing.

After dinner, have some window shopping and bought myself a new Dior Mascara. Satisfied with it's effect and long lasting!
