Restaurant Damansara Uptown Hokkien Mee @ Damansara Utama

After we had Shibuya Honey Toast last weekend, we headed to Restaurant Damansara Uptown Hokkien Mee to have dinner. The crowd was begun since 8pm and the queue started around 9pm.

Hokkien Mee (2 px portion RM 17). Here they were serving wet style Hokkien Mee, topped with fried lard and it's so aromatic and full of wok hei.

It's sinfully delicious when you eat their noodles and crunchy fried lard together. Personally I feel it's a little bit too gravy for my own preference.

Black vinegar and sambal belacan. Their belacan was spicy and we love it!

Pork Soup ( 1 px portion RM 9.50). Pepper soup with generous amount of pork slices, fried egg and vege, topped with scallions.

When my first sip, I thought it's pork stomach soup because it's soup base was exactly taste alike, I love this. Pork slices was smooth and tender. While fried egg and scallions added aroma to this soup. Delicious!

Chicken Wing (RM 3.50 per wing). Very crispy and crunchy outer layer and chicken meat was tender and juicy. Thumb up for this. However, it's kinda expensive for charge RM 3.50 per chicken wing.

Overall, we were satisfied with our meal as all dishes we ordered were delicious. But somehow, personally I am much more prefer dry style Hokkien mee. Should try their crispy and crunchy roasted duck on our next visit since there's many good reviews!

Miru Dessert Cafe @ Damansara Uptown

Shibuya Honey Toast was in Malaysia! Although it's not from BKK After You, but still, it's exciting! =D

Miru Dessert Café is a Japanese concept café which selling varieties of Honey Toast, Desserts and Froyo Shake. They specialising in Shibuya Honey Toast and started their business in Damansara Uptown since October'15!

Heart-warming friendly Japanese style renovation with white colour paint and wood materials.

We were served by a menu and decided to order their signature Shibuya Honey Toast and Chocolate Banana Toast.  Note that you have to place order over the the counter.

The table to top up our toast!

Self service on tableware and FOC cold tea.

Cute number plate!

Little plant and the honey

Iced Lemon Tea (RM8)

Shibuya Honey Toast (RM 15 nett). Warm, lightly crisp outer layer yet fresh and buttery fluffiness inside. Topped with 2 scopes Vanilla ice cream and whip cream.

DA LANG!

Pouring the tempting honey on the toast! Taste alike BKK After You's Shibuya Honey Toast, but personally I think After You is much more buttery fragrant.

Chocolate Banana Toast (RM 16 nett). A layer of chocolate on top of buttery fluffiness toast. Topped with banana, 2 scopes Vanilla ice cream and whip cream. Lightly crisp toast with bitter sweet chocolate is awesome.

Overall, we were satisfied and it fixed our craving on Shibuya Honey Toast. Recommend 2-3 people to share a toast as it's quite fulfilling your stomach.

Dragon-i Signature @ Pavilion KL

Cravings for Xiao Long Bao last weekend when Kenny and I were shopped in Pavilion. The indecisive me walked through few restaurants and lastly... Here we were! Dragon-I Signature Restaurant!! Miss their Xiao Long Bao so muchieee!

Dragon-I Signature is selling Peking Duck which differentiate it from normal Dragon-I restaurant. We ordered Xiao Long Bao, Deep Fried Tofu and Kenny's favourite Custard Bun as appetizer, Stir Fried Seafood Ramen and Ramen with Pork Chop.

Deep Fried Tofu Cube. First dish arrived on our table. Crispy outer layer while absolutely soft and soy fragrant tofu inside. Taste even better when dip into chili sauce or black vinegar.

Shanghainese Steamed Meat Dumplings (Xiao Long Bao). Skillfully handmade and each displaying at least delicate 18 folds. Flavorful  juicy pork filling and delicious soup flowing out when tiny bite on the dough. Taste great when consuming with the shredded ginger and black vinegar condiment.

Salted Egg Yolk Custard Bun. Soft bun with sweet savory fillings.  Awww... Fillings overflow, like Lava Cake!

Ramen with Pork Chop. Authentic springy ramen in clear soup while pork chop cut into pieces. Both of us felt that the pork chop was too dry and hard to chew.

Stir Fry Ramen with Seafood. My all time favourite despite their Hot Stone Ma Po Tofu Rice. Delicious wok hei stir fry ramen with generous portion of fresh seafood (Prawn, Squid, Fish fillet). Personally, I would mix my plate of ramen with black vinegar, slurps! =D

Restaurant Soon Kee @ Teluk Intan, Perak

Visited grandpa at Teluk Intan, miss him badly! Grandpa seems older, promised him I will go back to visit him when there's holiday!

After chit chat and busy body around, it's dinner time! Previously we used to go Restaurant Man Chong or Sze Chuan for dinner. Uncle decided to try new place -Restaurant Soon Kee, to have our dinner tonight.

The restaurant is simple renovated, it's alike a hall and fill up with table when customers arrive. We were serving by their delicious homemade popcorn while waiting for our dishes to arrive.

Claypot Tofu with Minced Meat. Tofu, minced meat, mushroom and gravy on top of a layer of egg. Ordinary yet delicious.

Steamed Fish Head in Teow Chew Style. The fish head was definitely fresh and the soy sauce was aromatic with balance of sweetness and salty.

Claypot Fish Maw and Sea Cucumber with Vege. Generous portion of broccoli, carrot and assorted mushrooms added some sweetness to the gravy.  Fish maw absorbed the scrumptious gravy and sea cucumber was chewy.

Sweet and Sour Pork. Crispy deep fried pork was too small pieces, while the sauce was slightly too sweet.

Deep fried fish fillet. Fresh fish cut into fillet and deep fried. A simple homemade dish. Absolutely crispy and delicious when eaten with their homemade chili sauce. Note that there's some tiny fish bone in fish fillet, so be careful when eating this.

Stir fried cucumber with dried shrimp. Refreshing, crunchy and aromatic. Taste of home.

Kam Heong Mantis Prawn. Crunchy mantis prawn with aromatic spicy Kam Heong sauce. Taste wise.

Desserts time! Pancake with lotus paste. This is awesome, it's as delicious as those fancy restaurant in KL!

Pun Chun Duck Noodles @ Bidor, Perak (品珍酒楼)

During Hari Raya Haji public holiday, we visited Pun Chun Duck Noodles Restaurant, located at Bidor, Perak. This well know historical restaurant is selling their signature Stew Duck Soup & Noodles, Wanton Noodles and Yam Puff! Beside this, they are selling Chicken Rice, Mixed Rice and varieties of Traditional Biscuits too.

While waiting for our food, it takes quite a while since so packed during public holiday, I were hang around to snap some photos. =D

This is where all the piping hot Stew Duck Soup treasured at...

Uncle refilling a new batch of duck soup into the steamer!

Uncle was so friendly! Posed at my photo =)

Noodles in preparation

The famous yam puff! Fresh from kitchen!

Yam Pie (芋角)(RM 2 per piece). Bought their famous yam pie to eat while waiting for our food to arrive. Their yam pie is always my favourite. Golden crispy crust and delicious char siew fillings, delicious. But it's slightly pricey.

White Coffee Ice. Cant skip to order their white coffee whenever I pay my visit here. It taste so authentic and rich. BEST!

They were selling chicken rice and mixed rice at the front of shop.

Kenny ordered a plate of mixed rice while waiting for our food to arrive. He's starved because we skip our breakfast and depart from KL to Bidor! LOL.

He commented that their mixed rice taste average. RM3 charged for this plate of mixed rice, quite cheap and hardly can be found in KL nowadays.

DA LANG! Finally our food arrived!!

Duck noodles (RM 8). We ordered Dry noodles so we can have ori bowl of stew duck soup.

Their homemade noodles was springy and flavourful with soy sauce fragrance, the taste of oldies. Somehow, Kenny claimed that his plate of noodles taste plain. Inconsistency of quality control. LOL

Stew duck thigh soup. We were satisfied with our soup this time. Taste authentic and sweet. The sweetness of long hour stewed duck meat and herbal. Sometimes, their soup can be tasteless or plain.

Preserved chili. A must when eating dry noodles.

Homemade chili sauce. So niceee. Taste great eaten with duck meat.

Wonton (RM 1 per piece). Wonton size was big and inside stuffed with 1 small shrimp and pork meat. AWESOME!

Both of us were so full and satisfied with our meal. Before continue our trip to Teluk Intan to visit grandpa, we bought some Kai Cai Biscuits from the shop and some fresh guava as souvenirs! Would recommend to drop by this restaurant for a meal if you are travelling along NORTH-SOUTH PLUS Highway.

We were passing by this Traditional Kuih stall when walking back to our car. It's taste great and kampong flavour. Only RM 0.50 each, quite cheap!
