黄亚华烧鸡翅 Restaurant W.A.W @ Jalan Alor, KL

Last weekend, after MATTA fair, Kenny and I decided to go Jalan Alor, the crowded, happening street and find some hawker food to eat since it's quite late already. We went to Restaurant Wong Ah Wah (W.A.W) which locate at the end of Jalan Alor.

The street and most of the restaurants was quite crowded when we arrived. Restaurant W.A.W was linked together by 3 shops and yet it's full house and people lining up for seats, luckily we manage to get a table when we reached there!

Restaurant W.A.W is famous for their Grilled Chicken Wings and Stingray & Hokkien Mee. The boss was waiting to take our order once we sit down. Without further consideration, Kenny ordered Grilled Stingray, Kam Heong Lala, Grilled Chicken Wings and Hokkien mee. We decided to add on BBQ noodles later on. (Yeah.. 2 persons only.. We are big eater! LOL) =D

Siu Yok Noodles ( 烧肉生面)(RM 13 small portion). First dish that arrived on our table. Springy noodles mixed with flavourful savoury and sweet gravy, topped with stir fry BBQ Pork, vege and some spring onions.

Personally I like it's noodles texture and gravy. While BBQ pork was just average, not crispy and a little bit greasy.

Hokkien Mee ( 福建米粉面) (RM10 small portion). Piping hot thick noodles and meehon in black gravy sauce, sinfully delicious. Flavourful and nicely cooked. Lard was added but it's not greasy at all.

Grilled Chicken Wing (RM3.20 per piece). Seductive oily crispy skin outside yet tender and juicy meat inside. Indeed it's delicious but I think it's overrated as other places serves better chicken wings. The price charged here was kinda expensive as RM3.20 for a chicken wings.

Grilled Stingray (Seasonal price). Smells great once it's served on our table. Fresh, thick and juicy stingray with slightly crispy skin, can taste turmeric powder on outer layer. Upgrade your taste buds by dipping Belacan chilli sauce at side!

Kam Heong Lala (RM 13 small portion). Stir Fry Spicy Clams. Kenny said their clams very fresh. The aromatic Kam Heong sauce which is savoury, spicy and sweet at the same time.

( Kam Heong sauce is cooking from curry leaves, curry powder, dried shrimps, shallots, garlic and chilies leaves. )

We were leaving with our full stomach! I read some reviews that their fried squid with salted egg cannot be missed. We will be back for more!
