OMU Japanese Omurice and Cafe & Farm Design ファームデザイン @ Central World,Bangkok

Omurice ( Omelette rice or Fried rice wrapped with egg ) is one of the popular dishes for Japanese.

In Bangkok, OMU Japanese Omurice and Cafe have 6 branches and the most convenient outlet to tourist will be Central World.

For tourist, present your passport and get 15% discount on total bill.

Fancy and comfy interior design. Mixture of Japanese and modern style design.

We choose Japanese Tatami seat.👍

 Menu.

For Omurice series, they offered varieties of sauces! You can choose Ala Carte or Set options! Note that if you are ordering Lava Style (extra 20Baht charges), make sure you mentioned to their staff.

Despite Omurice, they were offering Appertizer, soup, salad & pasta too!

We ordered Set A for Curry Sauce Omurice & Shoyu Butter Sauce Spagetti with Pork and Mushrooms.

Set A (extra 50 Baht charged) coming with miso soup and selection of drinks.

Curry sauce omurice with cheese, mushrooms, bacon and eggplant (190 Baht-Ala Carte). I didn't realized that need to special mentions lava style when ordering, thus, mine was cooked egg, no lava style. 😅😅😭

Curry sauce was definitely yummy! Generous portion of fillings! If it's lava style and this dish would be perfect!

Shoyu butter sauce spaghetti with pork and mushrooms (170 Baht-Ala Carte). Yummy, generous portion and perfect poached egg.

Our lunch before headed for tea time!😋😋😋

We definitely come back to OMU on our next BKK trip to try out other flavor omurice. After lunchie, we went to Farm Design to try their famous Original Hokkaido Cheese Cake.

INTER Restaurant @ Siam Square Soi 9

Looking for authentic Thai food in Pathum Wan,Bangkok area?
Looking for local restaurant that tourist won't normally go and fairly price in Pathum Wan area?

You should come to INTER Restaurant, which located at Siam Square Soi 9.

Nothing to shout about their interior or exterior design, has some 80's vibe with INTER'S overall design.

We were sitting upstairs

Wide varieties to choose from appetizers, rice, noodles, soup, vege, meat, desserts and drinks.

Isn't Tomyum Kong is a must order whenever we dine in Thailand?

Tomyum Kung (120 Baht). Shrimp in hot sour soup. Not too spicy yet full with Thai richness. Right touch with spices and lemongrass.

Somtum with Salted Crab (58 Baht). Spicy papaya salad with choices of salted shrimp/crab/fish. Very spicy! Should request for less spicy on my next visit here! Despite spicy issue, this somtum was yummy!

Stir Fried Chinese Kale With Salted Fish (110 Baht). Fresh, crispy Kale with salted fish cubes, 1 more bowl of rice please!

Grandma Fried Rice (80 Baht). Soy sauce fried rice with pork in chinese style. Typical Chineseman dishes ordered by Kenny. He said this fried rice taste good.

We were satisfied with our meal and leave without disappointment. If you are looking for delicious high CP value meal, you should pay your visit here!

Walked around Siam Square before took taxi back to our hotel.

Pork Knuckle Rice @ Alley Opposite Shibuya 19 Shopping Mall

My must go back pork knuckle rice spot when I travel to Bangkok! I mentioned this stall on my previous (post) but this is a detailed one!

Located in the alley beside Platinum Mall / opposite Shibuya 19 Shopping Mall.

There's many other food stall in this alley too!

This is the pork knuckle rice stall I talked about 😋

 Pork knuckle rice w.i.p

Big bowl of yummy pork knuckle.

 Braised egg and pig intestine.

Pork Knuckle Rice (60 Baht). Plate of rice topped with generous portion of pork knuckle meat and savory gravy, side with braised egg (we get an over cooked on this visit😥) and vege.

Roselle drinks with crushed ice. Taste refreshing especially under hot weather.

 Friendly stall owner.

Personally I like this pork knuckle rice as their pork meat was tender and flavorful. You can stop by and give a try if you are nearby! 😀

Huai Khwang Night Market, Bangkok

After spent our afternoon at Chatuchak Weekend Market, we went to Huai Khwang Night Market by MRT.

Huai Khwang is located east of the city centre, less congested than central Bangkok, it's suburban pace offers an alternative to Bangkokians looking for quieter communities.

Huai Khwang Night Market starts at 7 pm until late. There are a large number of food stalls, restaurants and a local wet market.

It's raining when we reached Huai Khwang.

From MRT Station we walked passed by Elephant God Temple and found out that only wet market was opening while most of the food stall were closed. Some of the food stalls were opening and moved their stall to shop-lot corridor.

Wet market which selling varieties of raw vegetables and meats.

Fruit stall opposite wet market. We thought buying some soursop but the stall owner told us soursops were still ripe 😭😭😭

We saw many locals were surrounding this soya bean stall and we decided to give a try!

Varieties of topping! Jelly, Barley, Eggs etc. We bought 1 pack to try when back to hotel. Taste good!

Pork porridge stall. Beside pork porridge, this stall was selling savory soya bean too. Trust me, this porridge stall was really good. Thick texture and savory flavor with generous pork meat.

Taste good even it's cold when we reached hotel. Sure will go back to Huai Khwang for this during my next visit to BKK.

When we were leaving, rain started to stop. We saw there's some stall which selling chicken rice, seafood, BBQ pork and noodles started to set up. Not to expect hygiene place if you plan to dine in here, but who cares as long as the food is tasty!

I would say coming to Huay Khwang was a good experience to look into Bangkok local life and food with cheaper price charged compare to main tourist area.

Please don't rain during our next visit to Huay Khwang! 🙇🙏

How to get there?
  • MRT (Huai Khwang Station)
  • Taxi
